Dan D International Design Festival takes place in Zagreb, Croatia. It started yesterday (10 June), and we also visit it on its second day to give you some ideas what our neighbours do design-wise. Read our first impressions!
Even though we waited for an hour at the borders, we finally arrived in Zagreb at around noon. To explore the city a bit before we enter the magical world of this small Croatian festival called Dan D, we decided to walk to the venue Klub Močvara located the River Sava.
When finally arriving at the club, the creative and friendly atmosphere that prevails at the festival immediately hit us. We saw the organisers and the volunteers work very hard and enthusiastically to make Dan D possible. The exhibition where Hungarian artist Gergő Kovács and other artists’ pieces are on display dragged us into a kind of intimate world but we were and still are exposed to the public, since privacy hardly exists anymore.
