Architecture and interior design studio Roar has announced it is expanding its architecture and interior design business to the metaverse. The firm that is based in the United Arab Emirates is so serious about its plans that it has already purchased land in the virtual space for its new showroom.
“The metaverse is clearly a lasting commercial phenomenon, not a passing fad, so we want—and need—to be there,” said Pallavi Dean, the studio’s creative director. “We’re already in advanced discussions with several clients about really exciting projects,” he added. Another argument in favor of this virtual opening is that the metaverse removes two important real-life obstacles: safety regulations and budget.
