Accessories in focus: Budapest Jewelry Week

This is the 8th edition of the Budapest Jewelry Week (BJW), organized in collaboration with SYDA—Studio of Young Designers Association. The event will take place between 12 and 18 September 2022 and aims to promote contemporary jewelry, giving the opportunity to Hungarian and foreign artists to present their latest works.

The one-man jury for the exhibition will include a personal presentation by one of the most influential figures in contemporary jewelry design, Dutch designer Gijs Bakker, while New York-based art collector and curator Charon Kransen will talk online about his collaboration with the artists and give a professional consultation for designers. This year’s third speaker is internationally acclaimed artist and author Daniela Malev, who will give an insight into her approach to design in a five-day workshop.

A new feature this year is that visitors can also try their hand at creating jewelry at the workshop of jewelry designer Veronika Fazekas in the community space of Kastner Kommunity.
