Apple, Google, Netflix—these companies have already imposed sanctions against Russia

The world’s leading brands are taking sanctions against Russia to show solidarity with Ukraine.

Global brands and tech giants decide to partially or completely exit the Russian market. These include Apple, Airbus, Alphabet, which is responsible for Google and YouTube, Boeing, Disney, Exxon Mobil, Facebook, Ford, Harley-Davidson, Mastercard, Microsoft, Netflix, Reddit, Snap, Twitter and Visa, and the list goes on and on.

The sanctions are imposed according to the service provided. For example, Apple has suspended the Russian online store and blocked RT News and Sputnik News apps outside Russia. Google, YouTube and Facebook have also started blocking posts and ads from these two media outlets. Mastercard and Visa have blocked Russian banks from their networks. The entertainment industry is also protesting, with Netflix shutting down in Russia, TikTok suspending live streaming and new content production, and Disney, Warner Bros, Paramount Pictures and Sony postponing the release of their upcoming films.
