The Budapest Central European Fashion displayed next year’s spring and summer trends last week, and we decided to observe the Hungarian creative industry in a wider spectrum, and we give some attention to the happenings of the fashion world as well. The first-ever assortment of the newest collections by Hunagrain designers on HYPE.

The spring-summer collection designed by Áeron was based on the spirit of the iconic Woodstock Festival which took place 50 years ago. Woodstock symbolizes freedom, love and being close to nature in the international collective, these ideas are reflected by the clothes being slack and unstrained. Eszter mixed the brand’s minimalist cut lines and earth-colors with the key emblems of the 70’s well-known subculture: the festival atmosphere is represented by patchwork leather vests, braids, and fringes, while the hippie-feeling is woven into tie-dyed prints and seemingly outworn, dichromatic jeans with fringed bottoms.
Regardless of whether we can share the nostalgic moments, or if we can only recognize silhouettes and life situations from our grandparent’s photo albums, we can be sure that behind Dóri’s collections there is a well-built conception that harmonizes perfectly with the brand, which gives TOMCSANYI a remarkably strong brand-identity. The 2020 spring-summer collection is a travel through time to the 70’s summer holidays at lake Balaton. Carefree floating on the ugly-pretty Palma rubber matrasses with bizarre prints and color combinations, that inspired the prints of the collection. The idyllic, body-positive campaign photos of the Taurus factory collides with the brand’s values. This meet-cute unites with the vintage-inspired styles from previous collections, making the pieces extremely comfortable and airy.
The elegance of the Nora Sarman pieces resides moderation, while this year’s collection is perfected by hidden details. “These clothes are about ritual. The 2020 collection was devoted to celebration. The kind of celebration which always required flowers to elevate, and photographs to make it’s moments forever.” This time the collection was inspired by mythological female figures, which are brought to life by clean silhouettes and hand-applicated 3-dimensional flower decorations. Nóri mixed snow white with beige and shades of raspberry and the specialty of the collection is the use of shiny metal woven into lace and silk. The modells were wearing Vecsey headpieces in this season as well.
