CES 2021 moves to the virtual world

Las Vegas-based CES, the most influential tech event in the world, is forced to level up amidst the pandemic: the four-day CES 2021 will be held next week as an all-digital event.

The organizers already realized their responsibility in not bringing together tens of thousands of journalists and members of the tech community in America in the midst of a global pandemic and so they had sufficient time for organizing their event in the digital space, thus offering a completely unique experience on the first all-digital Consumer Electronics Show. As a result, between January 11 and 14 those interested can attend the event from the safety of their own homes, where more than a 1000 exhibitors will showcase their innovations on the fields of AI, 5G, digital health, smart cities, vehicle technologies and countless other related areas.

The virtual platform of the event was developed by CTA, the organizer of the show, in collaboration with Microsoft: with this they not only renewed but straight out reimagined the event featuring exhibitors like Canon, Hisense, Intel, Lenovo, LG, Panasonic, Philips, Sony and Samsung. The most surprising participants include Bridgestone, Caterpillar, John Deere, L’Oréal as well as Procter & Gamble.

In order to make it truly relevant, the approx. 100 conference sessions will include a roundtable discussion with the leaders of Amazon, Twitter and Google on privacy and trust, but popular artists Dua Lipa and Billie Eilish will also share their take on how technology is changing the entertainment scene.
