BME launches an Art Residency Program in Budapest

It is a common practice worldwide for higher education institutions to host artists and writers for a few months. Following the example of leading universities around the world, this year, for the first time in Hungary, the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and the Pro Progressio Foundation are jointly organizing a program to combine science and art in a similar way.

Under the BME Art Residency program, selected artists can create on topics such as exploring the inner world of building materials or biomechanics, representing the borderline of engineering and medical sciences.

The winning artists will receive a net monthly grant of HUF 150 000 for ten months during the residency program and will be supported by BME research mentors. Applications are welcome until 25 March.
