From furniture to the fashion market? | IKEA

Probably many of us have thought of wearing the T-shirts advertising sales in the shop windows of malls at one point, either as a joke or as a message to consumer society.

Something similar seems to be happening in the framework of traditional trade, as IKEA’s Japanese arm sets out to enter the fashion market in an abstract but all the more appealing form with its brand new merchandise collection.

Even though in a way reflecting IKEA’s philosophy, they don’t overdo design, the Efterträda collection will offer some pretty clever prints. Here’s a little teaser:
