Gdańsk Old Town Hall on magical illustrations

Polish graphic designer Ania Chistowska designed fairy-tale pages for the publication presenting the Old Town Hall of Gdańsk.

The book on the history of the Gdańsk Old Town Hall’s 16th century renaissance and Flemish-style building was commissioned by Nadbałtyckie Cultural Center. They invited local graphic designer Ania Chistowska (working under the name Ania Tatar at the time) to design the book.

On the cover, a line drawing of the building’s façade invites us to learn more. Besides old photographs, the building comes to life on additional line drawings, while the simplicity of the design is balanced by the gold tones selected from Pantone’s Metallic palette. We love it!
