Holiday homes that dazzle everyone with their minimalist elegance | Domki Szumilas

Lubiatowo is a small Polish village right on the shores of the Baltic Sea, bordered by white sand dunes and magnificent pine forests. In this fabulous landscape, the three latest, minimalist, noble wood-covered pieces of the Szumilas project holiday homes await guests wishing to relax and unwind. The clean-style cottages with a simple geometry harmonize and create a unified picture with the built environment as well as the exceptional natural features.

The holiday homes were designed by two architects from Akurat Studio, Rafał Kaletowski and Maciej Ryniewicz, in close collaboration with the operating team. The premium cottages have been insulated with easily ventilated Swedish wood on the outside, and the walls and furniture on the inside are painted in warm tones that evoke the colors of the surrounding fields. An important element of the intimate interior is the high-quality wood veneer, sometimes decorated with lamellas, from which the kitchen furniture and some cabinets were also made.

The harmony of natural materials is perfectly complemented by the energy-saving aluminum doors and windows, whose hinges are hidden in the cladding, thus creating an elegant, minimalist look. The cottages also have spacious terraces bounded by triple-track windows on the ground floor. By opening them up, the living room and the veranda can be opened together, thus increasing the floor space of the special holiday homes.
