LEGO and MOME call a national contest

Recreate your world!–this is the title of the joint contest of LEGO Hungária and the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME), where participants from Hungary can submit their mosaic images made up of LEGO bricks.

LEGO Hungária and MOME announced their long-term cooperation in December 2020, the aim of which is to implement colorful and boundlessly creative ideas and projects by combining design with the game of LEGO. A new step in their collaboration is a nationwide competition, where, in line with the LEGO Group’s slogan Rebuild the World, applicants can rethink and rebuild their world—or more precisely a slice of it that interests them—from their own perspective. All this must be realized in the form of a flat mosaic image, and the size of the artwork mustn’t exceed a one-by-one-meter square.

LEGO building is becoming more and more popular among adults all over the world and in Hungary, helping them to relieve stress and recharge through creative recreation. With this contest, we want to share this experience with as many people as possible,” said Judit Sipos, Managing Director of LEGO Hungária. The noteworthy competition accepts entries until February 28, 2021, from adults over the age of 18 living in Hungary, while organizers await photos of the actual compositions until March 16, 2021.

Further information on the competition and the application process can be found on the MOME website and the LEGO Hungary Facebook page.
