LEXCELLENCE – 13 | Beer label from Marci Borbás

How can a legal consulting firm have its own beer brand? We zoom in on Marci Borbás’ imaginative label designs and the story of a craft New England Pale Ale.

The impact of the growing beer revolution in Hungary is becoming more widespread: so much so that the customer of the LEXCELLENCE – 13 beer label, designed by graphic designer Marci Borbás and the Három Stúdió, was none other than a European legal consulting firm engaging in energy. Marci and the studio have been working closely with the office for years:

“Last year was the third year we worked together. From the brand identity to the design of all the gift beers, we have created all the visual content for them.”

The special label design was made in connection with an unusual anniversary:

“Last November, when I was approached with another beer label design, a pretty interesting and random situation arose. 2020 was a strange and trying year in which the company celebrated its 13th birthday: it was clear enough to us that some symbol of bad luck would have to be displayed on the beer, so the choice fell on the black cat.”

Unfortunately, the limited, anniversary edition beer has not been put on the market, but we are looking forward to new beer label designs from Marci, which we can admire on our own tables.
