McDonald’s to ditch plastic straws

In recent years, most restaurants and catering services have been forced to take significant steps to advance the cause of climate protection. Be it social or economic pressure, the radical change in single-use plastics announced by the largest domestic restaurant chain is certainly to be welcomed.

In a statement sent to the Hungarian Telegraph Office, McDonald’s emphasized that in the future, as part of a nearly 800 million forints investment, only wood and fiber-based straws, chopsticks, and cutlery will be made available to their guests.
