Apple TV+ has revealed the trailer of its latest science-fiction series recently, most probably aspiring to follow in the footsteps of Star Wars with its elemental force.

The Foundation was made based on Isaac Asimov’s award-winning novel of the same title. The story is centered around the fight for saving humanity and the process of rebuilding civilization amid the fall of the Galactic Empire. The script was written by the screenwriters of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

The producers of the sci-fi series include Isaac Asimov’s daughter, Robyn Asimov, as well as David S. Goyer, Josh Friedman, Cameron Welsh, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross. The Foundation is produced for Apple by Skydance Television.

The series will be available on the Apple TV+ platform in 2021.
