The Nyitva! x Erzsébetváros fesztival is drawing to a close

The Nyitva! x Erzsébetváros festival, where new creative entrepreneurs were introduced to the public and more established local service providers also presented their programs, ends on 30 November. During the free and open closing event, participants will share their experiences and some useful lessons learned from the festival.

This was the third time that KÉK (the Hungarian Contemporary Architecture Centre) organized the Nyitva! Festival, this time in the VII district. The core mission of Nyitva! is to connect empty shop owners with entrepreneurs looking for a venue. During the summer, creative entrepreneurs and artists were invited to apply for premises, and shop owners —many of which have been vacant for months or even years—were invited to participate in the program. As a result of the call, three creative teams moved into two properties provided this year by the Municipality of Erzsébetváros: Pastello Clothes, PLACCC Bázis, and Sopianae Salon.

The final event of the series will be the LELTÁR on 30 November, during which organizers and entrepreneurs will share their experiences and lessons learned from working together. The organizers—KÉK, PLACCC, MeetLab and Ziggurat Project—welcome everyone interested to 27 István Street. The talks will take place on 30 November from 6-8 pm, accompanied by a small reception.

You can find more details on the event’s Facebook page.
