Yves Saint Laurent’s former villa is up for sale

Once owned by Yves Saint Laurent, the villa Jardin Majorelle has been put up for sale. The iconic blue building, located in the heart of Marrakech, Morocco, is looking for a new owner through Sotheby’s auction house.

Designed in the 1930s for painter Jacques Majorelle and once owned by French designer Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Bergé, the modernist building is a favorite destination for YSL fans worldwide. The villa includes a one-hectare botanical garden, enhanced by exotic plants, jasmine and cacti. Contrasting with these lush green surroundings, the building takes on a bold electric blue hue, which was later coined as ‘Majorelle blue.’
