Ryan Schlotthauer dreamed up a vehicle that combines IKEA’s philosophy of packaging with Renault’s aspirations of sustainable urban mobility. Meet Höga!
The design of the practical vehicle was inspired by the principles of Bauhaus. Thanks to its simple, symmetrical, LEGO-like elements, a few people can assemble Höga in an hour. It consists of 374 total parts and 114 individual parts that can be assembled piece by piece. The vehicle’s skateboard-like platform has four individually moving wheels, which can move in any direction to assist maneuvering in tight spaces. When creating the concept, the designer was also mindful of the optimal use of space, so the interior can be customized even to accommodate extra luggage, a bicycle or a pram.
