BDPST Group has signed an agreement to acquire Hotel Gellért, which will reopen as a five-star, upscale hotel.
As one of the most prestigious hotels in Budapest, Hotel Gellért will reopen its doors to enrich the touristic brand of Budapest. The modernization of the building will now continue with the participation of BDPST Group, after the company’s representatives signed an agreement to acquire the hotel group, the most prominent element of which is the Gellért Hotel. The plans are to transform the iconic and unique property into a state-of-the-art five-star hotel while preserving and restoring the listed building’s historic heritage.
Hotel Gellért is planned to have 139-150 guest rooms and suites, and the interior of the emblematic hotel will also be renovated as part of the reconstruction. In addition to the modernization, the designers aim to add new features that will contribute to expanding the range and improving the quality of the services available.
