This is what a collaboration between IKEA and Patagonia would look like—according to AI

More and more fields of application are being explored for artificial intelligence software that can create images from text. This time it was used to create a joint collection for IKEA and Patagonia.

Why shouldn’t AI design our chair or an eye-catching lamp? Creative director Eric Groza used Midjourney to design an incredibly realistic-looking, imaginative IKEA x Patagonia collection.

In his original LinkedIn post discussing the project, Groza explained that he chose the two brands because they are both committed to sustainability and environmental issues. “Together they could co-create a limited-edition collection of eco-friendly home goods and outdoor gear, as initiatives to promote sustainable living,” he said.

The resulting images are almost indistinguishable from similar photos of real IKEA and Patagonia products.
