What do we need to make things work?

Among others, this is the research of Dr. Péter Érdi, a world-renowned expert on complex systems and author of the book Repair, now giving a lecture in Budapest.

A lot has changed over the past few decades. Some things have improved considerably, while some, we feel, have gone off the rails. What is the best strategy to deal with the latter: should suffer, fix, replace or recreate them? Professor of complex systems at the University of Michigan and co-author of the forthcoming book Repair in Hungarian, will give a lecture on 21 March in Budapest, this time at the MOME Campus.

In addition to his public lecture, the world-renowned expert will also give three seminars specifically for MOME students. This time, he will explore the issues of resilience and guide us into the world of complex systems that can help us better understand what is happening in the 21st century. Péter Érdi has been a professor of complex systems at Kalamazoo College in Michigan, USA, for more than 20 years, and is a professor emeritus and scientific advisor at the Wigner Research Centre for Physics in Budapest, Hungary. His focus has long been on interdisciplinarity and interdisciplinary approaches to problems.
