The future of transport | Lamborghini’s electric supercar

Lamborghini has taken to Twitter to announce its latest product, the first all-electric car from the Italian carmaker.

Lamborghini Revuelto

The brand has been on quite a roll this year, with the newly announced ‘supercar’ being preceded in March by another, the Lamborghini Revuelto, the carmaker’s first HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) hybrid. However, this model still relied heavily on a conventional petrol engine, with a battery pack capable of only 6.2 miles of driving range.

In contrast, the new wonder car announced in a tweet on 14 August will - some speculate - be all-electric, which would be a huge step forward for the brand, which celebrates its 60th birthday next year. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait much longer to find out more details, as the brand is expected to announce the new vehicle on the 18th of this month, during Monterey Car Week.
