Miami-based startup SquarEat would bring a futuristic new solution to the ready meals industry.
SquareEat is about offering healthy, tasty, and easy-to-store and transport meals in fifty-gram square portions. They use innovative cooking technologies, such as low heat cooking or even heat shocking, and vacuum packaging to prepare the food. A portion is made from a single main ingredient with natural flavors, so you can get asparagus, basmati rice, beef, or even chocolate pancakes in a single bite.
Four to five servings are offered for a meal, and each pre-made box contains portions ranging from sweet to savory, priced between $5.50 and $7.99.
