Artist Alexandra Manousakis has transformed a former café in Chania, Crete, into a restaurant and ceramics studio bathed in seaside hues.
Manousakis retained the building’s existing art deco-inspired features, including salmon pink doors and windows, while also bringing additional colors to the space with bright blue chairs and a sage-green fireplace. The white shelves hold her ceramics, which are also painted in bright colors and patterns.
Maiami’s menu features a mix of culinary influences as well as classic Mediterranean dishes: fresh Greek cheeses, salads drizzled with olive oil, fresh vegetables, charcuterie, and pasta.
