The pink glasses and drinking jugs featured in the upcoming movie hail from the Czech workshops of the Klimchi company.
One of the most anticipated films of the summer, Barbie opens in Czechia this week, on 20 July, and viewers will feel a hint of pride when they see one of their most sought-after exports, which also appears in Barbie Land: the Czech glassware.
The classy glasses and jugs were made by the Klimchi company, which describes itself as “a collective of Czech designers and glassmakers who like to create exceptional glass products for exceptional experiences.” The products are handmade in the town of Kamenický Šenov, in the so-called Crystal Valley. Their glassware already earned recognition in Czechia for its original and elegant designs.
The company’s founder Lukáš Klimčák said that the Klimchi glassware featured in Barbie are from the Rosaline Hobnail edition. “I’m absolutely thrilled that our pink jugs will make their big movie debut in the Barbie movie,” he added.
