The Economic Forum is the largest and the most important conference in Central and Eastern Europe. For 30 years now, the Forum has gathered political, economic and social leaders from over 60 countries around the world. It serves as a platform owing to which the most important figures in European politics and economy can exchange their views. Each year important declarations are made during the Forum, which is why the sessions attract the media from all over the world the most, as well as their effects are echoed among experts long after the Forum’s closure.
The theme of this year’s edition is ‘Europe facing new challenges‘. As every year, a rich programme of over 200 events awaits the participants. For three days, Karpacz will be visited by the most important people in the country and region: leaders of politics, economy, local government and prominent representatives of the world of culture and science. The debates will be covered by journalists from all over Europe.
An annual tradition of the Economic Forum is awarding prizes for the Man of the Year, the Company of the Year and the Non-governmental Organization of the Year. Over the years, many prominent persons of European politics and economy have been honoured with the title of the Economic Forum Man of the Year.
The main partner is the Lower Silesian Voivodeship that is called the heart of Europe. The region is located about 300 km from Warsaw, Berlin or Prague and is perfectly connected. Thanks to its great location and educated employees, it attracts investors and develops dynamically. In this place renowned universities and career prospects await students from Poland and Europe. Tourists are attracted by the largest number of classified monuments in the country, the largest number of castles and palaces, the heritage of industrial architecture and the most numerous spas in the country.
Lower Silesia is also a region that stands out in terms of the level of innovation in Poland. Its enormous economic and educational potential, excellent infrastructure facilities and high quality of human capital contribute to its strength. Business development also contributes to the region’s success – Lower Silesia is the seat of many Polish and international companies. Special Economic Zones support the location of new investments.
