Architect studio BIG to design tech hub in Bratislava

The new headquarters of cybersecurity company ESET will be built in the place of a former military center, and the company commissioned the London office of Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) to design the new hub.

The Slovakian company known for their antivirus software purchased the lot situated in the western part of Bratislava, formerly functioning as a military hospital, back in 2017. The location is perfect also because the technology faculties of two universities are situated nearby, and the new campus of the Slovak Academy of Sciences will also be built here.

Thus a new tech district is under construction in the area, with the ESET hub already functioning as a mini city in itself: in addition to providing jobs to 1400 workers, it will also give home to the apartments of foreign employees, restaurants, sports facilities, a kindergarten and a startup incubator. The center is expected to be completed by 2025-26.
