A collaboration between Kith and the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation has resulted in the latest New Balance creations, inspired by the designs and models of the world-famous American architect.
Dubbed the New Balance Made in USA 998—Broadcare City, the shoes echo the sketches of Wright’s utopian concept in both color and materials.
The architect began working on plans for a decentralized city based on democratic principles in the 1920s and continued to develop them until the end of his life. Over the years, the plans were accompanied by models in distinctive earth tones, which also appear on the sneakers.
The images for the campaign were taken in Taliesin West, Arizona, Wright’s final residence and the current headquarters of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, which manages the late architect’s legacy.
