Hello Wood, known for its unique buildings and creative camps, and Katttarzis, organizer of popular electronic parties, are teaming up this year to host the hottest Hungarian party of the summer.
The two-day music event, called Kráter, will feature a strong Hungarian DJ lineup, as well as Hungarian festival favorites and up-and-coming artists from the electronic and hip-hop scene such as Analog Balaton, Sisi, Lil Frakk, 6363, Kale Lulugyi, and Wavy Budapest. The event will take place in Zalahaláp, the best-kept secret of Lake Balaton, where the post-apocalyptic crater of the former quarry Haláp hill will provide a stunning backdrop for the music on 14 and 15 July. The event is supported by the Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture.
Kráter will close Hello Wood’s largest-ever builders’ camp, the Builder Summit, which brings together builders from all over the world. Over the course of the 8-day art camp, 200 international participants will fill the quarry with site-specific temporary installations and land art pieces to explore. In addition, a new Hello Wood composition will be created especially for the music event, a spectacular central land art installation that will hide the main stage and create a space for dancing. The unique stage setting will be complemented by exciting light installations, familiar from the Katttarzis parties, for an even more magical experience.
The open-air Kráter, held among the lilacs of Zalahaláp, will be headlined by Analóg Balaton, who have been the most popular live act at the festival in recent years. Lil Frakk and 6363, who are becoming increasingly dominant in the Hungarian rap scene, will be performing together, and one of the most exciting new discoveries, Sisi, will also be taking to the stage. A regular at festivals and gypsy music events, Kale Lulugyi will once again be back with a rousing musical show. The hip-hop collective Wavy Budapest will be represented by Co Lee, Orlando, Aminon, Kebab, Chris Villon, Indigo, as well as Blaize, Dan Pinto, IMDB, and don C. The electronic music line-up, put together by the Katttarzis team, features names such as Tolo and Falcao (LavaLava), Lau, dtnb., Telemala and Adis is OK (Santsat), CRB, Cry Later, Vedat Akdag and Ogulcan Eki (Suck My Mustache), Vatsanah, Reload, and Raasa (Funkyzeit, Botellón).
