Ukrainian artist Alexey Kondakov borrows characters from old paintings and uses Photoshop to transpose them into contemporary environments.
In his photoshopped images, Kondakov turns the characteristics of consumer culture and modern urban life into parodies, placing figures from classicist painters in situations we are all familiar with. The artist refers to his work as surreal documentary photography.
