The Italian authorities seized a 145-meter yacht, designed by Starck for the Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko in 2017, as part of the sanctions imposed over the war in Ukraine.
The £444 million Sailing Yacht is one of the largest superyachts in the world, which was designed by French designer Philippe Starck.
Starck’s studio told Dezeen that they want to firmly distance the designer’s work from the ongoing events in Ukraine while expressing their support for the Ukrainian people who became victims of the Russian invasion.
