New NASA spacesuit revealed

The first prototype of the next-generation spacesuit was developed for the next lunar expedition.

According to NASA chief Bill Nelson, the new spacesuits “will open opportunities for more people to explore and conduct science on the moon then ever before.” The garments are more streamlined and flexible than before, offering greater range of movement and a better fit. Designed to fit a broad range of potential wearers, they are accommodating at least 90% of the US male and female population.

Successor to the Apollo moon program, the Artemis expedition is expected to reach the lunar south pole and will be the first to send a woman to walk on the moon. NASA promises that future missions will also see the first person of color set foot on the moon.
