The place that once symbolized freedom for the inhabitants of West Berlin in the divided city, now bears witness to the end of an era.
Berlin-based photographers Robert Rieger and Felix Brüggemann collaborated on the photobook entitled Flughafen Tegel, which shows the iconic and once cherished but now closed Berlin Tegel airport. In the book, the photographer duo presents the remarkable image of the empty airport, offering an unhindered insight into the architecture of the sixties while approaching hidden details with artistic sensuality.
