The Czechs’ pavilion will be an oasis in the desert of the United Arab Emirates, bringing water, the greatest gift of all, to the Dubai 2020 World Expo.
The light installation, entitled Golden Rain, was designed and created by the glass and design company LASVIT and depicts the process of producing water from the air.
“The glass installation is shaped like golden lianas and fits into the pavilion’s overall design. The individual ‘stems’ are reminiscent of the tangled clusters of hosing which wind their way throughout the entire pavilion and allow it to function,”— explains Maxim Velčovský, creative director of LASVIT and designer of the glass and metal installation.
