Shoe fashion has taken a new direction with the combination of Studio Proba’s iconic design and Dulis’ craftsmanship.
In May 2021, Dulis Shoes launched an exceptional shoe collection in collaboration with the famous designer Alex Proba. The German-born, New York-based artist is noted for her work in many artistic fields, including graphic design, environmental and furniture projects, and, more recently, her shoe designs. Last year’s collaboration between the manufacturer and the designer was so successful that this year they have teamed up again for another round.
Each pair in the fresh collection has been given a specific left and right design composed of vibrant colors, patterns, and textures that have been thoughtfully designed and expertly finished. The shoes can be divided into two broad categories: with laces and with Velcro. They are made using different techniques of dyeing and stitching, but the craftsmanship is common to both types. Charity could not be left out of the successful collaboration, as in the past, 5% of the proceeds of each sold shoe will be donated to the Liga Portuguesa contra o Cancro and Acreditar organizations. Although Dulis is primarily a Portuguese children’s shoe brand, given the high interest, this collection is now available for teens and adults as well.
