Bjarke Ingels Group's “Biosphere“ treehouse hotel floats among 350 bird houses

The Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) has built a treehouse hotel in Swedish Lapland and created a spherical cabin covered with 350 birdhouses. The design, named Biosphere, is suspended in the trees of the Harads forest and is the latest addition to the Treehotel resort.

Visitors enter the Biosphere via a suspension bridge. Once inside, they arrive in a moody and secluded space—with dark-toned interiors and organic materials inspired by the fullness of the surrounding forest. Although small, the room has everything you need for a luxury hotel stay, including a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the landscape.
