CXIP is an emerging NFT community platform with such leading artists as the American artist Daniel Arsham and the media artist Jen Stark: their aim is to defend artists’ rights in the metaverse.
Non-fungible tokens, or NFT creations, have suddenly exploded into the art world. Their reception is also divided among creators, with many artists rejecting them as viable creative tools. This uncertainty also stems from issues concerning royalties, smart contracts, and the permanence of NFT creations. In a bid to help protect the rights of artists, NFT minting platform CXIP (pronounced ‘CHIP’) is launching a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) called the ‘CXIP DAO’. Their aim is to create the world’s largest coalition of NFT creators, where artists can vote on proposed features, innovations and manage the community platform. Jeff Gluck, founder and lawyer of CXIP, added that selling NFTs should not be a complicated process: creators should be given the opportunity to move their NFT collections seamlessly between different marketplaces.
In addition to the launch of the CXIP DAO, the platform also announced the formation of an advisory board of leading artists and advocates, including Pharrell Williams, Jen Stark and Daniel Arsham.
