Hungarian talent attracted great interest in Dubai

The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency drew attention to the talents of the Hungarian creative industry in Dubai with a Creative Week and the Hungarian Pavilion realized by Expo 2020 Hungary. At the Budapest Select Fashion Show, seven Hungarian designers presented their collections and, thanks to the great success, received concrete offers from the buyers attending the shows.

Hungary is joining the Dubai World Expo from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022 with several programs and events; this time, at the Budapest Select Fashion Show, ABODI, Elysian, Kata Szegedi, Katti Zoób, Maison Marquise, MERO and Sentiments presented their creations. “After the situation caused by the pandemic, we finally had the opportunity to present ourselves again to guests and professionals from all over the world, and at the same time, new markets were able to discover the creations of Hungarian designers. During our events at the Dubai World Expo, we received a fantastic response, which shows that the market there is very appreciative of Hungarian talent. Dubai is one of the world’s most important commercial players, which means that we can have a very positive impact on the country’s image and attractiveness as a tourist destination,” said Zsófia Bata-Jakab, CEO of the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency.
