Gödöllő Applied Arts House is launching a fundraising event series

The Tükröződések (Reflexions) event series will feature around 150 works by 56 contemporary artists and designers. The fundraising campaign is organized with the aim to support the renovation of the Gödöllő Applied Arts House and thereby provide the right conditions for the complex art program of the workshop.

GIM is a contemporary workshop and creative community that keeps alive the spirit of the artists from the former Art Nouveau Gödöllő Art Colony by placing it in a contemporary context. The exhibition brings together artists from several generations; besides renowned, nationally recognized artists of the first twenty years of GIM, a special place will be given to representatives of the younger artist generation. The first highlight of the fundraiser event series is an auction where one artwork from each artist will be up for bid.

The value of most artworks—paintings, graphics, sculptures, autonomous works of textile art—ranges between 100,000 and a million forints. Applied art and design objects—jewelry, handbags, ceramics, carpets, textiles—range from 20,000 to 300,000 forints. The exhibition and auction will also include works by graphic artist István Orosz, textile designer Gabriella Veszprémi and jewelry designer Flóra Vági.

TASTE—a new thematic month on Hype&Hyper!

In May, we are again narrowing down a bit the topics of our site, but only to explore as thoroughly as possible—and by no means narrow-mindedly—a hot topic that we can all relate to: eating. We don’t live to eat, we eat to live—or do we?
