Works of art on your shoes | MoMA x Vans

Vans has already taken part in art collaborations previously, resulting in footwear inspired by Vincent Van Gogh and Frida Kahlo, amongst many others. This time, they teamed up with the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York to release a new art-inspired collection.

The new shoe line is intended to showcase MoMA’s diverse collection, thus we’ll get to see the works of Salvador Dalí, Vasily Kandinsky, Claude Monet, Edvard Munch, Jackson Pollock, Lybov Popova and Faith Ringgold on the shoes, amongst others. The first launches echo Dalí’s “The Persistence of. Memory 1931”, Vasily Kandinsky’s “Orange 1923”, and Monet’s “Water Lilies 1914-1926”. The various patterns will be displayed on different Vans models, as well as additional apparel and accessories, including T-shirts and hats, and some of the items will also be available in kids’ sizes.

The fist collection will be available in Vans’ and MoMA’s online stores as well as selected retailers worldwide from September 30.
