Barnabás Neogrády-Kiss wins Capa Grand Prize 2020

Barnabás Neogrády-Kiss won this year’s Capa Grand Prize with his photo series ‘Double Bond’.

Capa Center established the Robert Capa Photography Grand Prize Hungary in 2014, the jury of which selected three fellows out of the creators of the works submitted in 2019. In his series You Were Never Really Here, Dániel Halász examined the fate of small settlements subject to depopulation in the shadow of growing cities, Krisztina Szalay’s project titled Made in China offers a peek into the world of the Chinese market in Kőbányai út, Budapest, while Barnabás Neogrády-Kiss covers a personal experience, his asymmetric vision that occurred due to a brain cancer operation in his work titled Double Bond.

The 2020 jury of Capa Grand Prize announced the winner of the prize worth 3 million Forints on the opening ceremony of the exhibition organized to showcase the works of the fellows for the fifth time in its history.

The exhibition is available free of charge between October 21 and November 29 in Capa Center’s Project Room exhibition space.
