One day, Lithuanian photographer Jonas Kryžanauskas and three of his friends decided to explore the two most iconic spots of Elektrėnai: an abandoned amusement park that has been left unguarded for 10 years and a power plant currently under reconstruction in order to meet EU safety requirements. The atmosphere of the place reminds the photographer of the city of Pripyat and the Chernobyl disaster that took place near the same, as the town is dominated by the unmistakable vibe and qualities of Soviet industrial cities. Enjoy our selection.
