The vote is on! | Highlights of Hungary

Each year, Highlights of Hungary collects and rewards the most outstanding Hungarian achievements without categories, thus increasing the culture of recognition in Hungary. After the announcement of the fifty-five candidates, the audience can take the lead and select the most inspiring stories. The awards will be bestowed on February 25 at a large-scale online gala event.

The list of fifty-five nominees is made up of representatives of culture, sports, sciences, NGOs, governmental organizations, and the business sector. The public has until February 18 to vote on the nominee they want to see winning the main prize. An important change is that this year, in addition to the audience, the ambassadors of Highlights of Hungary will also select a candidate among these heroes of everyday life who will receive an award.

We can likewise expect new features in connection with the awards ceremony: in an unprecedented way, anyone can join this year’s event. In view of the pandemic, the gala will be held online, broadcasted on February 25. The creative director and Highlights-ambassador of the ceremony is Miki357, video advertisement specialist, who will be responsible for the unforgettable experience together with János Rádics. Carson Coma, Dzsúdló, Viki Lábas, Márk Járai, Áron Romhányi, and István Pál ‘Szalonna’ will hit the stage in unprecedented line-ups, as the spirit of the award suggests, and besides all this, the anthem of Highlights of Hungary will be performed for the first time as well.

For more information about the awards ceremony, follow the event’s Facebook page, and cast your votes on the Highlights of Hungary website!
