Wes Anderson has transformed an entire French city for his latest film

Wes Anderson’s films are well known for their characterful, dreamlike sets, and this will be no different with The French Dispatch, coming on 22 October.

Instead of shooting the film in several different locations, the Andersons looked for a small French town, Angoulême, which they transformed one to one. One hundred and twenty-five different unique sets were created in the town of 42,000 inhabitants, including a studio space converted from a former knitting factory with a carpentry mill and three stages.
