In the magical landscapes of Poland | Woliński National Park

We present another picturesque landscape in our series presenting the national parks of Poland. This time we travel to Wolin Island, where we can also admire the Baltic Sea and the island’s special fauna.

Woliński National Park was established in 1960 on an area of nearly 11,000 hectares in the central part of the island of Wolin. The park has rich fauna and flora, with direct connections to the Baltic Sea and the Szczecin Lagoon.

For hiking enthusiasts, there is a network of hiking trails and nature trails of about 50 km. It is definitely worth visiting the Bison Sanctuary, where the supply of sparse bison is growing. Walking in the interior of the island, you will most likely encounter the white-tailed eagle, which has been chosen as a symbol of the park.
