Now one cannot only taste wines at Laposa Birtok, one of the most popular wineries of Badacsony, but champagne, too. The winery also created a publication for the sparkling drinks made of Pinot Gris and Furmint vines, with exciting infographics.
Zsófi Laposa, the winemaker of Laposa Birtok has contemplated champagne-making for years now. She researched and tasted tirelessly and went on regular study trips to Italy, the motherland of prosecco. The two new champagnes of the winery, the Furmint-based Brut and the Pinot Gris-based Extra Dry were made after learning the Method Charmat technique applied there and following lengthy experiments. Both Zsófi and the Laposa team considered education important: in addition to manufacturing the bottled champagnes, they also paid particular attention to introduce the process of champagne-making to the audience in the form of a publication.
“We knew that in Hungary champagne is most of the time identified with the technology known from France, yet this is a much broader genre. We wanted to show with the infographics conceived by Zsófi that the Laposa champagne is manufactured with the technology used in the Prosecco region. We share all data worth knowing starting from harvesting through technology to opening in the publication, even including the perfect temperature for consumption” – told us Dóra Budavári, the head of marketing at Laposa Birtok.
The sketch prepared by Dóri was later finalized by Brandart, a permanent partner of Laposa Birtok. In addition to the informative and exciting illustration, a likewise useful champagne dictionary was also added to the publication.
