Régen írtunk már Laki Esztiről, pedig természetesen nem állt meg vele az élet. Ez alkalommal egy igazán különleges receptgyűjtemény kapcsán szerepel nálunk, amit már a júliusi interjúcikkünk során is említett nekünk. A MENÜ (a receptgyűjtemény), egy limitált 1000 példányszámos foodporn, tele történetekkel és különlegességekkel olyan budapesti, vagy környéki szakácsoktól – mint például a Bonbonbon – akik mind-mind különböző motivációkkal fogtak bele annak idején a főzésbe-sütésbe. A design, ahogyan azt már talán említeni sem kell nagyon minimál minden elemében: mélynyomás a borítón, dombor a könyv gerincén, vonalas piktogramok és még sorolhatnánk. Nincs kétség egy tartalmában és vizuálisan is egy élményben gazdagodik minden olvasó. Ja és azt még nem is említettük, hogy minden egyes könyv számozott! Alapvetően a mű magyarul készült el, de a végére érve, megtalálható a teljes tartalom angolul is, így jó ajándék lehet külföldi pajtijaink számára is.

It’s been a long time when we wrote about Eszter Laki the last time, but of course, she is moving on with her life and endlessly create amazing things. During her interview in July she mentioned a very special recipe collection, and finally the project came alive. The MENU ( called the recipe collection), is a limited number of 1000 copies with foodporn, full of stories and a cook specialties from Budapest (even Bonbonbon is highlighted), by chefs who all have different motivations for cooking. No need to mention the design is very minimal in all elements: hardcover was bound with natural canvas, blind embossing on the front board and white relief printing on the spine, plus line pictograms. No doubt, that we are dealing with a visual and gastronimical experience altogether. Oh and I haven’ mentioned that each book is numbered! Basically, the cookbook was shipped in Hungarian, but by the end of the 3 different sections, you can find the entire content in English, so that can be a good gift for foreign pals as well.
