The city of the future is born in the Czech Republic. In Židlochovice, twenty kilometers from Brno, next year, a new urban quarter will be built that combines sustainable and smart technologies with social considerations in mind. The project leaders presented the plans of five architectural studios, in the preparation of which carbon neutrality and water-saving were the most important aspects. Among them is the innovative and green city plan of the KOGAA studio. Let’s see!
The Czech architectural studio came up with a concept that offers different types of apartments for young career starters, couples, families looking for sustainable housing, elderly people living an active life, but you can also find a multi-generational family house among the plans. There are buildings that can be used for different purposes, such as so-called SO-HO houses, which also serve as apartments or offices. All the buildings are passive houses, the energy is provided by solar panels on the roofs. In addition, great emphasis was placed on the presence of biodiversity and the creation of as many quality green spaces as possible, thus creating more livable conditions.
