Dutch architecture studio MVRDV has opened Rotterdam Rooftop Walk, a 600-meter-long temporary bright orange rooftop installation in Rotterdam that crosses the rooflines of two adjacent buildings.
The installation was created as part of the Rotterdam Rooftop Days. The aim of the urban festival is to create new spaces and provide an opportunity to discover rooftop views while walking above the city. “We should not only occupy our roofs and make them greener, but also connect them so that we can offer Rotterdammers a new rooftop park,” the architecture studio pointed out.
