No more printed menus – SpeedPro proposes a solution allowing us to access the menus online with the help of an NFC sticker and our mobile phone.
The Denver-based large format printing company developed a new hospitality system built on NFC and QR codes. They had started development long before the pandemic, but expedited the project in order to aid businesses in their reopening.
It’s a quite easy-to-use service: since the system is browser-based, there’s no need to download a separate app. After opening the site, all we need to do is hold our phones above the sticker and the menu of the given restaurant will be displayed.
As a result of the pandemic, the service could gain popularity in the hospitality industry as it reduces the number of surfaces potentially spreading germs, and on top of it all, it also enables restaurants to update their menus more swiftly and by generating less waste.
