During the coronavirus pandemic, campervans became even more popular among those wanting to travel: now SAIC Motor has built a luxury traveling home whose units extend upwards.
Although currently it’s in the prototype stage, future owners of the Maxus Life Home V90 Villa Edition will be able to enjoy comfort and privacy on almost twenty square meters on the lower level and an additional twelve square meters accessible by elevator. The walls of the upstairs unit can be darkened as required, but we can bask in the sun on the balcony above the driver’s cab any time.
On the lower level, there is also a bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room; the latter two are separated by a bar counter. The various functions of this smart home on wheels can be controlled via built-in touch screens. Luxury comes at a price, of course: this campervan sells at $413,000.
